GAELIC is an academic library consortium founded in April 1996
within FOTIM (Foundation of Tertiary Institutions of the Northern
Metropolis).
Our motto is "information through cooperation" and we
aim to provide timely, cost-effective knowledge and information
delivery to the university community.
GAELIC's goals are clearly stated in three objectives:
- Promote optimal use of the Millennium system in GAELIC
Libraries
- Build capacity through identification and provision of
training needs and services for optimal utilization of resources
- Improve cost-efficiency through joint procurement and resource
sharing
Our goals are to:
- Support member libraries in facilitating the creation, use and
management of knowledge
- Provide innovative information access and services through
implementing cost-effective strategies for state-of-the-art
systems and resources
