Directors of Libraries using the Innovative system in Southern Africa will participate in a symposium with Innovative Interfaces Inc on 14 November 2007 at the CSIR Convention Centre, Pretoria.

Quality Assurance in Higher Education: On a Mission - Maintaining Momentum
The 3rd FOTIM International Quality Assurance Conference will be held from 11 to 13 June 2008, at the CSIR Convention Centre, Pretoria

Libraries are a vital factor in quality higher education through their support of teaching, learning, research and community engagement. Participants are invited to share pre- and post-quality audit strategies and mechanisms to ensure quality service provision by support units in general and in particular within the library.

Congratulations to Vivian Agyei on her appointment as Director for TUT Library and Information Services with effect from 01 October 2007. Mrs Agyei was the Interim Executive Director since the merger in 2004.

The GAELIC Chairperson, Ms Dudu Nkosi, has resigned from the North-West University (Mafikeng Campus) to take up her new position as Director- Information Resource Content Management at the Unisa Library. Ms Boquin Rantla has been appointed acting Director LIS for Mafikeng campus.
